Impeach New Jersey Supreme Court Justices Gordon Bishop On the Issues The New Jersey Supreme Court unanimously voted in September to break a state law by allowing outgoing Governor James McGreevey to borrow some $2 billion to pay government salaries and benefits. The State Constitution specifically prohibits governors from borrowing money to pay for salaries and benefits of government employees. Borrowed money is to be dedicated for capital improvements only. The seven justices later ruled the highest court in New Jersey would not be allowed in future years to approve borrowed money for salaries and benefits because “it is unconstitutional.” What an incredible admission! This is outright criminality at its worst. Over $2 billion is not “chump change,” especially in a state up to its eyeballs in debt – more than $28 billion at this point, or more than $3,200 for every man, woman and child in the Garden State. There are 8.5 million residents of New Jersey. This is the same Supreme Court that broke a state legislative law to allow former U.S. Senator Frank Lautenberg to run for election again to replace Senator Robert “the Torch” Torricelli, who was losing in the polls to Republican senatorial candidate Doug Forrester. State law prevents a sitting senator to drop out of an election campaign six weeks before the general election and name a substitute to replace him. The state’s Democrat party sued to replace Torricelli, who was under investigation for accepting tens of thousands of dollars of gifts and money from a New Jersey lobbyist. Lautenberg volunteered to be the replacement senator. Lautenberg, a multi-millionaire, paid for some of the Supreme Court suit costing almost a million dollars. The Republican senatorial candidate was ahead in the polls, even though most voters did not know who he was, other than running for the Senate as a Republican. Lautenberg had served three terms in the U.S. Senate and was much better known to voters than the successful business candidate, Republican Doug Forrester. New Jersey’s second largest newspaper, The Asbury Park Press (Gannett Newspapers), responded to the Supreme Court decision for Lautenberg by endorsing the little known contender, Doug Forrester. The other major dailies in New Jersey endorsed Lautenberg, of course. New Jersey, traditionally, is a Democrat state, rarely voting for Republicans for the U.S. Senate. Since the State Supreme Court’s two “unconstitutional” rulings on loans to the state and the Lautenberg “political switch,” there’s been a groundswell of resentment by taxpayers, especially by Republicans and moderate Democrats. Senator Jon Corzine, New Jersey’s other Democrat senator, spent $60 million of his own money when he ran for his first public office four years ago. Corzine, former co-chairman of Wall Street’s Goldman Sachs investment firm, is worth around $300 million. Corzine has just announced his candidacy for Governor of New Jersey, and he plans to use his own money to get elected. No politician in New Jersey can spend $60 million to run for governor. Buying a governorship or a U.S. Senate is a sleazy way to assure victory. But that’s what the Democrats in New Jersey are doing.
Corzine would
succeed Acting Democrat Governor Richard Codey, who is also Codey succeeded Governor James McGreevey, who was forced to step down after three years in office after he announced he was “a gay American” who had a sexual relationship with the state’s Homeland Security Chief, Golan Cipel. Cipel did not qualify for the $120,000 position because he is a citizen of Israel – a violation of the Homeland Security Act. McGreevey was criticized by his own party for putting his male friend in charge of the state’s security – and putting 8.5 million residents of New Jersey at risk in the War on Terror. Because the State Legislature is controlled by Democrats, there is no urgency in holding impeachment hearings on the two rulings by Supreme Court justices. It will take a petition of at least two million voters to make a case for impeachment. That may not happen. There are more registered Democrats in New Jersey than Republicans. Meanwhile, New Jersey is sinking into a bottomless pit of debt. The acting governor needs at least $5 billion to balance the next state budget by June 30, 2005. More”illegal” loans sanctioned by New Jersey’s politicized Supreme Court? We’ll see! http://www.newsbull.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=20964 (Gordon Bishop, a national award-winning author, historian and syndicated columnist, is New Jersey’s first “Journalist-of-the-Year” – 1986/New Jersey Press Association.) From Gordon Bishop’s archives -- October 2002 NJ Supreme Court A ‘Law-Breaking’ Joke! Gordon Bishop On the Issues This time, however, the “joke” has changed New Jersey’s entire elective process. Under the Supreme Court’s decision, any political candidate who is far behind in the corrupt political polls, can simply leave the race in September or October and let another candidate from his party step in and complete the race. This is political madness and a violation of the state law and our U.S. Constitution. The liberal Democrats on New Jersey’s Supreme Court are a lawless gang of ignoramuses. Chief Justice Deborah Poritz, in voting to break New Jersey’s voting laws, declared: “In a democracy, isn’t the right to vote inextricably tied to choice?” Hasn’t Chief Justice Poritz ever read the Declaration of Independence, the U.S. Constitution, or the Bill of Rights? America is NOT a “democracy.” America is a “Constitutional Republic,” which simply means “rule of law.” No where in the Declaration of Independence, Constitution or Bill of Rights can you find the word “democracy.” Why? Because “democracy leads to anarchy,” which is “mob rule.” Liberals love breaking laws and making their own laws. Laws, under our Constitution, are to be made by “elected representatives of the Republic.” Laws are not to be made by Presidents or Supreme Court justices. So much for the “rule of law” under a Republic governed by our sacred Constitution. It’s time for voters to elect public officials who will uphold the “rule of law” and get rid of those who espouse “democracy” or “mob rule.”
Unless voters get educated on the “rule of law,” America will continue on the path of self-destruction. The liberal mob-rulers have taken over with their lies, deception and total rejection of the founding principles of our once great Republic. The liberal mob-rulers already have destroyed the First Amendment (free speech) and the Second Amendment (the right of law-abiding citizens to bear arms). The only reason our nation’s founders included the Second Amendment in the Constitution is to make sure that mob-rule (big, uncontrolled, Democrat government) doesn’t destroy the Republic. Voters, more than ever, must now vote with their “conscience.” But to have a “conscience,” a voter must have ethical and moral values to guide them in casting their votes. After more than 40 years of liberalism, mob-rule, and eight years of the reckless Clinton Administration, ethics and morals have been vanquished by liberals without a “conscience.” New Jersey’s justices, like Democrat Senator Bob Torricelli, should resign for the good of the nation – and America’s future as a law-abiding Republic. America today is succumbing to drugs, pornography and violence – liberalism at its worse. God Bless America! http://www.patriotofnj.com/sys-tmpl/njsupremecourtalawbreakingjoke/ |

to the cases that have been filed and argued before the judges. I am talking about judicial opinions that falsify the facts of the cases that have been argued, judicial opinions that make disingenuous use or omission of material authorities,
judicial opinions that
cover up these things with no-publication and no-citation rules." |
